Gianluca Fantoni is a senior lecturer in modern history at Nottingham Trent University. He is the author of Italy Through the Red Lens: Italian Politics and Society in Communist Propaganda Films. He is also general editor of Modern Italy, the journal of the Association for the Study of Modern Italy.
