Derek Kaufman has assembled one of the world’s leading collections of rare books and manuscripts on the history of math and science over the past twenty years. Uncertainty and the Quantum Revolution is his second major exhibition; he curated Small Steps, Giant Leaps at Harvard’s Houghton Library in 2019, celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing.

Kaufman is Founder and CEO of Inclusive Abundance, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization focused on building a more abundant future through policy innovation. His prior career in finance included serving as Head of Global Fixed Income at the hedge fund Citadel and as Global Head of Fixed Income in the Proprietary Positioning Business at JPMorgan Chase. He is a graduate of Harvard College, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Applied Math/Economics.
