Michael R. Kistner is assistant professor of political science in the Bush School of Government at Texas A&M University. He is the author of Paying for the Party: How Fundraising Demands Lead to Less Productive and Less Representative Legislatures. His research has appeared in The American Political Science Review, The Journal of Politics, and The Quarterly Journal of Political Science.
