Benode Behari Mukherjee

Benode Behari Mukherjee (1904–1980) was an Indian painter and muralist closely associated with Kala Bhavana, the fine arts faculty of Visva-Bharati University in Santiniketan, West Bengal, where he studied under the painter Nandalal Bose and later taught for decades. Celebrated for his ambitious murals and pioneering modernist practice, he continued to work after losing his sight in 1957.
