Joanna Pearson earned an MFA at the Johns Hopkins Writing Seminars and an MD at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where she also completed her psychiatry residency. Her stories have appeared in Alaska Quarterly Review, Blackbird, Copper Nickel, Joyland, Mississippi Review, and Best of the Net 2016, among other journals, and “Changeling” was honored as a distinguished story in Best American Short Stories 2015.
